At the change of lights, foot went flat to the floor, but there was no loss of traction ( or even close to it ). It still accelerated very fast through to the speed limit, but I am concerned that the traction did not break.Anyone have suggestions or experienced the same problem and had it fixed ? Next time, get the revs up before you launch (foot on brake, other foot on accelerator), and you should get some action.

I agree even with 320fwkw it still does not break traction unless you hold revs up and let the turbo spool up before it takes off.Ian

This is where the turbo really kicks in.

Posted 18/09/03 11:52 AM Share Posted 18/09/03 11:52 AM A well designed suspension WILL give you a lot of traction. (that's what it's setup to do) If you want to do burnouts, put a pair of std tyres on (like a crappadore driver does)

Nothing like history repeating itself. Only a couple of weeks left to go.... B)

SJW Member 122 Member For: 21y 5m 29d Location: Brisbane QLD Posted 19/09/03 05:28 AM Author Share Posted 19/09/03 05:28 AM So,( and please forgive me in advance ).If I have an auto, is the plan to lift the revs in neutral and drop it into gear once rev's are higher. Would this damage the gearbox or engine. This is why I asked for forgiveness in advance.I know its a wierd comment, because if I was to punish the car by wanting to spin the back wheels , why would I care about the gearbox etc. However, if any other auto members have done this , would like to hear their comments.
