TV - mate from what I can find out I think the 2wire modem is locked... POS... :stirthepot:

You can prob run a firmware upgrade that might unlock it - but I dont know havent tried and to be honest I wouldnt bother!

Like I said for under $100 just get urself a better bit of gear like a Linksys AM300 or something... We sell these all day/everyday all over the country for users of all different ISP's. IMO one of the best modems on the market!

Mind you im bias as a Linksys Channel Partner, and Cisco Business Partner - what more would you expect!

I work for Telstra as you know and would never use them for internet. Even with there unmetered content its still too pricey.

LOL! I have major internet issues at my current address so some of us have no choice!! I'm 3kms from an ADSL2 enabled exchange but something to do with pair gains (?) and the copper lines(?) which were replaced only last year so I can only get bigpond cable. I tried most of the known ISP's and no love with anything other than cable. Its not stupidly fast but its better than dial up!

$80p/m for 50gb and I've never had any issues with Telstra. Even to the point the installer agreed to waive the installation fee if I helped him.
