No modifications to car at all.I have had the car since brand new.Ford Dealers said it was spark plugs.Been replaced and no change. Then they said it may be the fuel pump or relays. They swapped the fuel pump relay and said they cleaned the fuel lines...fault still there. The problem is getting worse and today it took over 5 hours of trying to start the car before it finally did start.

Quite possibly could be a blocked or collapsed catalytic convertor.

A slowly desintigrating convertor will get progressively worse with time to the point where the car will have no power at all or wont even start...its like blocking your exhaust... your car will not start...

This happened to me on my VL Comm Turbo years ago...

Im not saying this is your problem im just saying maybe you should check this out also however unlikely it may be especially if the most obvious causes are not the problem...

If you're in Melbourne, I'd take it to Horse Power Factory and/or Nizpro and get their opinion of it. Ford Service may be ummm missing something :censored: (trying not to slander). HPF and Nizpro I think generally have a good standing amongst forum members here. Alot of members take their cars there for servicing because they know what they are doing and see XR6Ts day in day out.

Let us know where you are and some other forum members might be able to suggest other similar places.
