Nah I'm still using XP :stupid:

I tried using windows 7 on my mates computer and just didn't like it.

XP Is just a sh*t load easier for me.

I don't need an interface like windows 7. I rarely have time to play games these days, so the computer is basically for running music and movies and various other downloads etc. and of course forums. General easy stuff.

I see no need for something like Vista or Windows 7.

I still haven't figured out what's so great about it lol

care to englighten? I may be persuaded .. :roflmbo:

Well for what your using your computer for I would say its probably better to just stick with XP.

People only think Windows 7 is great if they want a nice looking interface, or used Vista, because Vista isn't the best operating system, it looks nice but its a resources hog. After service pack 2 it was a lot better but still nothing compared how XP or Windows 7 perform. If your not bothered about how the interface looks then there's no need for Windows 7. I guess that eventually everyone will stop making drivers and updates for XP but not for a while so just stay with it.

ok so I got windows 7 the first day it came out - needed a new computer and didn't even know it was coming out or else xp would be on it.

What antivirus software/shareware would you guys recommend, there is a possibility that my um um housemate, yes that sounds plausible, will be spending a fair bit of time on spankwire when his girlfriend is asleep away.

Avast!

www.avast.com

run it is eval mode for the first month, then once its trail period is over then register it (if free) - it will just give you 12 month from the reg date - save yourself some time when you first install it.

Few of the other members use it also and give it the thumbs up. There is also a few threads on AV SW if you do a quick search!

Most new systems will be pre installed with WIn 7 now and if not they will have vista with a free up grade.

We are still building boxes with XP as per reseller requests, but just about all out of licenses so they are all hidden in Smickys Special Safe!

There are still some places with XP floating around if you dont like Win 7, and miss you XP days just do a bit of a search around.

Keep in mind Win 7 includes a XP mode. So in most cases you should be ok.

Enjoy your porn downloads!

* I want it to not question where I was when I get home at 3am. :buttonit::dark:
