I HATE Vista but I don't have any gripes with Win7 as it doesn't seem to have all the driver issues Vista had and it also process way faster on the same hardware. I have an i7 CPU and 6Gb RAM and it uses all the resources so well.

We have been testing it for about 6 months so far and it does run much better then Vista, especially on older hardware. One of the guys at work put it on his Acer ONE netbook and it ran faster with 7 then it did with XP.There is an XP mode built into 7 where you can run any applications that won't run under the new Windows 7 kernal, but you will need to purchase the Professional version to get this.We have already been shipped the retail versions, and there are less versions compared to vista. The 3 flavours are Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate available in both 32 and 64 bit versions.I'm happy to look after any forum members that wish to purchase a copy(or any other hardware/software), but not till after 22nd as MS would tan our hides, just send me a PM.Cheers,BenI will be buying Win 7 pro asap. Whats the deals we can get. Also whats the diff with pro and ultimate?CheersAdrian

Maybe might do version 7. Drivers being one of the main issues with operating systems and by the sounds of it may have got it right?I've been using 7 for a while now (the release candidate) and its well worth the upgrade, if your upgrading from XP it will take a while to get used to the new layout, but if you've used Vista you will notice its very similar. 7 runs just was well as XP (if not better) and looks a lot nicer and is easier to use, once you get used to it.Ben - How much $$ are we talking about for each of the ones you mentioned?any of you win7 guys got a print screen of the layout? cool features? Here's a couple of screenshots showing the new taskbar and start menu. The Mac style doc you see up the top does not come with 7 that's something I downloaded I just forgot to close it when taking the shots (its called Rocketdock if anyone's interested ). Most will be able to make do it home premium as pro is only really needed in a server environment that requires your pc to join a domain.BenPS, Windows 7 runs brilliantly on Intel Mac's as well edit: the copies that I can sell you will be OEM, which means you will need to buy some sort of hardware to keep things legal (memory upgrade, hard drive upgrade, mouse, keyboard, monitor) etc. I can look after you with pricing on these things as well.
