Going from a factory "hi-flowed" system to an XForce 3.5 inch S/S with split dump, power came on about 300-400rpm earlier. From memory, it made about 25rwkw more on 1psi or so less boost and 35rwkw more with the same boost. Bolted up without a retune it made an extra 18rwkw.

I am looking at the following ;-

XFORCE 3.5 INCH TURBO BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH 4" DUMP PIPE AND 3.5" HI FLOW METAL CAT * * FULL STAINLESS

After this im getting a tune and other bits.

The price I have is $1540 not fitted.

Is this the recommended system? Is this too high for non fitted? Nizpro etc sell these for around the $2k mark don't they?

If you never intend to take that system above it's capabilities, which would be well over 400rwkw, then you could save a few hundy. Otherwise, spend the extra money on the Nizpro system now and save some money in the future. The only thing that would be stopping me from getting the Nizpro system is that I haven't heard much feedback about it.

Plenty of people have used the XForce systems including myself. There is nothing wrong with them. They last, the cats do not fail early and the welds do not crack. They are thinner and lighter than other exhausts which means they can sound a bit tinnier, especially on startup, but they are also lighter. Yes they can and usually do have fitment issues but none that can't be sorted. That price sounds reasonable.

Why is everyone going so big in the exhaust?? I'm not sure if the fpv's have a better exhaust, but my tornado with process west stage 1 cooler and ubp, 60lb injectors, hiflow cat and tune makes 314rwkw and backed it up with a 11.9@116.8mph first pass. I have no doubt it would happily make 350rwkw with the centre mufflers removed and an actuator to hold more than 10psi past 3000rpm.

Bigger isn't always better, a combination of matched parts can yield good results for little money :stirthepot:

Why not go straight for a decent setup from the start, you can spend anywhere up to $600 just for a cat fitted and everyone always wants more power plus a free flow exhaust reduces strain on the rest of the system and sounds better if your into that kind of thing!

Its the whole debate like standard injector will do such and such kw's but at what cost to the system...

If your on a budget and are planning on only having so many kw's then a cat may be fine but I'd say if your buying all those other parts that handle so much more then do it once (for now).
