Hey Guys,

I've been cruising the forums for a while now was palnning on getting a BF XR6T but am now leaning towards a BA F6 because it has a bit more kit for only around $5k more.

What exactly are the differences between the BA and BF in the F6 because I had thought untill recently that they were near identical.

Will appreciate any imput

Thanks,

Dayle

Having owned both a BA F6 Manual and a BF F6 auto all I can say as a total package the BF sh*ts all over it. Bought both stock, and the BF is certainly a lot more refined vehicle in all aspects, whether it's ride & handling , brakes 4 pot Brembos V 2 pot PBRs stock ( from memory).

BA's only came in a manual and the BF had the option of the nicely mated ZF 6 speed auto. The option of the 19' Dark Argent rims is another consideration.

Whilst the manual was a lot of fun, both cars were quickly modified to around the 300rwkw mark and the BA would have been owned regardless of circumstance . The BF seems to have had a lot less creaks and rattles as well

Whilst ole Yella was a very nice car I had aboslutely no regrets in getting into the Neo Nazi

Hope this helps

Cheers for the reply,

Hmmm the BF is just so much more expensive and I was thinking of DBA brake upgrades anyways. So under the bonnet they are much the same?

If your going to upgrade components on the BA F6 you might as well spend the extra coin and get the BF you wont regret it, I looked at BF2 XR6T's and for the extra coin the F6 was well worth it with pretty much nothing common with the XR6T.

The BF has upgraded exterior parts also (which im sure your aware of) such as; tail lights, front bar, rear bar, rims were optioned, came with brembos on front and PBR on rears. Also are considered to have less problems than a BA F6. Do your research mate and it might be worth spending the extra few $$$ to go for a BF and be happy at the end.

Unfortunate thing is there is $10,000 price difference :P

I guess if it's worth it though its worth it. Factory Brembo's would be nice...

As always you have to convince the hand brake WHY its worth the extras $10k

thanks for your input everyone.

I was looking at BF F6s but manual ones are so much more than BA2s... it really can't be justified IMO - a bit better brakes and a bodykit for $10K? no thanks.

My decision was also helped by the fact that I was lucky to get my car about $5K cheaper than any other low K ba2 F6 on the market at the time due to the circumstances of the seller.

Btw my car has no creaks or rattles, or anything wrong with the way it has operated at all when considering factory parts/systems. Ive driven BF F6s and there is no difference in driving experience other than brakes that makes them worth it. (Obviously they look newer!)

So to sum up - would I rather a BF? Ofcourse. Is it worth the extra money they are asking atm? Nup.

I'm actually surprised they are still asking so much... prices on BA2s have dropped about $5K in the last year but the BFs asking prices (manuals) haven't dropped at all on average.
