The FG seems so much more refined and feels a bit european. The build quality seems a lot better than the BA. Driving the FG with a manual really does the Turbo motor justice. You can appreciate the low to mid torque spread in these cars. It will be interesting to see how it feels with a tweak on the tune, suspension and perhaps a brake upgrade.Although Tunehouse has upgraded, setup and tuned many FG's, this is going to become a project car where it will have the Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3... kits installed and I will be running it at WSID to backup the dyno figures with some numbers. The autos are relatively easy to get some good numbers (as long as you can get off the mark cleanly) but the manuals always seem to be falling behind. Hence here lies the challenge.I'm quite happy driving a stock standard car atm. The pressure is on already from my mates and the guys at Tunehouse to modify it. So far it has been about 5 days and I have not even considered putting a K&N in it! (I think that is pretty good for me)The question is... How long do you think that the car will remain stock before the first modification? I now have a "spare" hence I can go a bit harder. The extractors are going back on (worth about 40 rwkw with less boost!!), the Turbo will get a freshen up and we will sort out the waste gate issue (it was struggling to mate over 16 psi over the last 6 months, suspect that the spring is stuffed) and the auto might also get a freshen up.Then we will consider a race tune on some good fuel and run it on slicks... Then see what the Taxi is capable of... Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/62665-jp300-picked-up-new-fg-xr6t/#findComment-942663 Share on other sites

What a difference it is over the previous BF I had, more stable and posative in the corners. Interior fitout is far better, still learning to drive the manual after two autos (1 * BA XR6T 1 * BF Typhoon).Wish I had purchased the manual in the previous cars.Would be interesting with a tune and exhaust.I wonder how the clutch would hold up to the extra power.James Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/62665-jp300-picked-up-new-fg-xr6t/#findComment-942756 Share on other sites
