I am in gladstone in qld so we dont have to many shops to go to. the engine builder I have is awsome, does a really good job and has build some really tuff cars in the past. my engine block went to the local engine machine shop for work and was there ova 2 months, the only reason it got done was I started going around the machine shop myself and all off a sudden 3 days later it was done, again quality of work was excellent but the time frame was f*ckin disgusting. now that we have the block back progress has been good, however I still stop in at the shop 2-3 afternoons a week and ask check on progress. its frustrating when you have spent 25k+ and all you have is a car with no box or engine and a heap of expensive parts. I would chuck it on a towtruck but with the wiring harness in bits its hard for someone else to pick up where they left off you know what I mean... One option for you is that a member on here has a BF ecu for sale for $500, you could pick this up, maybe find a loom from the wreckers and pick up and leave. Not fun, but it could be an option if nothing has happened in two weeks...Needless to say I think this car will really be a weapon once its done - and we'll have a killer suspension set-up for your trip down the quarter too! d rangd Member 341 Member For: 16y 2m 23d Posted 07/01/10 08:35 AM Author Share Posted 07/01/10 08:35 AM cant wait pat...that's what I was planning to do a while ago, but its way to late now I think, hes ordered an autronic ignition module to run stronger spark and a few other things. I feel im just getting one side of the story though especially for $1100..I hope it doesnt fry the standard coils (weapon x coils). hes turned a simple turbo upgrade to a full car rewire, well that's how its turning out..apparently now it should be RUNING by this time next week but well see what happens...theres some TOUGH xr6s/f6s down there at the moment so it seems in good hands, jsut not quick ones haha
