I just noticed that my stock plenum is just sitting on the rocker cover held by the piping. The two rubber mounting posts that I can see are broken in the middle and there is no screw on the rear mount (don't know if that one is broken as well.

Are these mounts easily broken or common to fail. Is it easy to replace them ?

thanks

I'll assume you mean the cross over and then yes it is common for them to break or be broken, they are available from ford for maybe $10-15 each and if you have an end missing you will need the nut as well.

Good luck trying to explain to the parts person what you want, It took me a five calls the first time we ordered some.

Mine disintegrated recently as well I noticed (crossover bump stops). Haven't bothered to replace them though. Is that a bad thing? It doesn't SEEM mission critical, but I'm not an expert.

Without at least 1 good one to keep it located, we have seen crossovers move out of the retaining ring on the throttle body and loose boost

Checked, all three of mine are kaput, and my TB join was half off! Turns out the clamp was loose as, probably my fault from a couple weeks back when I cleaned the TB. Still...need replacement bump stops! Or better yet a more permanent fix. Cheers :)

I think over $20 for all three is a rort! $50 is just insane.

More reason for me to do away with the damn thing and get a better, shorter intake and intercooler system installed!

Do you have the invoice still. Would be great to have a part no to quote to the parts guy to save trying to explain it.
