I tried an iPhone last week with a BA (BF) Factory Bluetooth kit. iPhone did not answer calls, it did not provide link to mike. iPhone would only hook up to the Bluetooth to output sound.

I did not pursue this matter apart from re-pairing and rebooting the machine a few times.iPhone has since been retired to its seemingly proper place as very neat accelerometer controlled game platform. (iPhone Xplane is very cool and and ice hockey is fun).

Work phones are back to being either Windows Mobile 6 devices or Nokia N series, both of which work fine with the B series Factory Bluetooth.

Regards,

aa

I have no hassles with my iPhone 3G. As it doesn't support number push I don't get the callers name on the screen. Quick tip when answering calls use steering wheel button or sound just goes to the phone.

They certainly are rubbish. They are nothing more than a gimiky toy (now I'm stuck with one for two years on contract).

Compared to a Windows based smartphone the iPhone is next to useless, not to mention the touch screen glitches, freezing and placing calls when you don't want it to!

Yes they are only good for high school kids that have a lot of free time to play all those useless games they always advertise on tv.

Its because iphones are rubbish

hahahahahah :beerchug:

If you say it enough maybe it will come true.

perhaps you know something I don't, but the internet on my iphone works better than my hardwired broadband work (IBM) laptop. So do emails, and pdfs, and I still get people looking over my shoulder facinated that sms is so clearly displayed and easy to follow. It can run google maps quickly and smoothly (unlike my laptop). and it runs TomTom GPS.

Must be something wrong with your fingers if your getting touch screen glitches and placing phone calls you didn't want to. Never once happened to me, in fact I find it hard to believe that it not only unlocks itself but then decides to go through the phone book and ring someone.

So you might have trouble with technology, that's great, good on you. I love my iphone even though it doesn't work with my car. But I wouldn't respond to someones query about compatibility by abusing his choice of phone. :bum:
