FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 2m 9d Posted 19/10/09 08:51 AM Share Posted 19/10/09 08:51 AM BA/BF Custom Fiberglass Bonnet, B-Series Bonnet with a Turbo Territory Scoop. The legality issue has been sorted and the bonnets will be legal in every state of Australia, they will come with an individual number that will tie back to your VIN as well as a certificate of compliance with your details on it. Should you have any hassles with Mr Plod just put that under his/her nose and smile, these certificates will apply only to your car so if you wish to sell the bonnet the new owner will need to update these details to tie it back to their VIN. Pricing will be as follows: 10 bonnets $950 + shipping 20 bonnets $850 + shipping 30+ bonnets $750 + shipping As the number of people in the group buy goes up the price comes down, the individual price after the group buy will be around $1100 each so get in now and get your mates in too to get the price down and keep it there. Shipping will be capped at $100 anywhere in Australia, TBA Customs will pay the difference out of there pocket to make it easier for everyone that wants one but might be worried about shipping costs. Just add your name to the list below, the bonnet will be going to the manufacturers this week with the first production ready bonnet expected in around approx 3-4 weeks. A deposit of $100 will be required once the mould is ready to start production with full payment to be made once your bonnet is ready to be shipped, I will contact people when this is the case. The bonnets will be offered in the order your name appears on the list below so if you want one before everyone else then get your name down as soon as possible. Like I said no money till the mould is ready then full payment prior to shipping. My own experience with this Bonnet I had the prototype fitted to my car for 2 days. It looked awesome great response from the young and the old, no doubt it puts plenty of nice air in under the bonnet straight over the engine, also sitting at lights sometimes I could see a heat haze coming from out from the scoop (releasing hot air) , in short looks great (better than pics show) and it works a treat. The scoop is painted in Oxide Steel same color as the FPV lower bar, the color in the pics just don’t do it any justice. FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 2m 9d Posted 23/10/09 10:31 AM Author Share Posted 23/10/09 10:31 AM 1st bonnet came out of the mould today, next step is the scoop should be finished late next week. $100 deposits need to paid next week. it was also written else where that these bonnets would be in undercoat that's incorrect, as using a different under coat to the paint type used may react against each other, so all bonnets will be in gelcoat fiberglass. You can also use your standard bonnet strut's with this fiberglass bonnet. List Fsix Ovakil Scar bj777 Dazza
Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 23/10/09 11:10 AM Share Posted 23/10/09 11:10 AM This is just my own opinion That scoop is too far forward, I would have bought one instantly if it looked more like the one Simon from Xtreme did, looks much more in propotion. Can they re jig that plug if you get enough demand to change it?

FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 2m 9d Posted 23/10/09 11:26 PM Author Share Posted 23/10/09 11:26 PM (edited) Group buy is on the bonnet only shown in the 1st post. The entry of the air is designed to straight over the top front of the engine and blows all the way back, he wont be making another B-Series bonnet, the next bonnet will be the same look for the FG. Once there are a few painted on the cars the interest will grow, like you guys the pics I seen wasn't so sure but when on the car I loved it and feedback was 100%. Cosmetic is important but not forgetting the function as the under bonnet temps drop the cool air over the engine is what its all about.. FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 2m 9d Posted 24/10/09 03:01 AM Author Share Posted 24/10/09 03:01 AM Remember these will be 100% street legal so I will also need your chassis number when you put your order in so that it can be printed on the compliance sticker and the certificate of compliance which you will also get for your records. Here's the pic of the first bonnet, as you can see the scoop is just sitting but the mold still needs to be finalised for it, that's actually still the factory plastic unit.
That's a fair statement but where is the proof or evidence of this functionality? Does data suggest that having it that far forward works better than having it a little further back? Has any data been collected from temp probes under the engine bay?
