I was in contact with Sean Mullins about this not long ago. Kit includes 9" Sheetmetal diff, Billet flanged axles(no brakes or diff centre supplied), Single adjustable coilover shocks & springs

Front 4bar brackets , adjustable arms & rodends, Mounting bolts. Cost was around $6000 in either a bolt in or weld in kit, that is for them to supply the gear and us to install. His work looks good, if your serious about drag racing definetly worth looking at. I was told one G-Tech car has a bolt-in setup and the other is welded.

to true, at $6000.00 for the housing axles rod arms and brackets, you will get to $10000.00 easy.

Yes true anything's possible, but I dare say to get it right, and as strong as the live axle 9" it will cost you more than the 9 inch conversion by a reasonable amount, but another factor is you would'nt get the tyre size of these other car's under there with IRS compared to those that have the shortened 9 inch diff's, nor would you get the tyre planting nice, flat and even like a live axle...

Just as a quick guesstimate KPM that advertises on this site want $3700 odd for 2 driveshaft's to handle 1000 FLYWHEEL HP ONLY which would'nt be to hard to accomplish with the right hardware...

A super heavy duty Harrop IRS centre will set you back I'd say atleast $5k plus complete ready to bolt in, BUT then you would always still have the problem of wearing rear bushes out and also possible cracking of the rear diff cradle etc if continuosly using a transbrake on hard launches on full slicks...

For street, hillclimb or circuit the IRS would be fine in a real high powered car but when it comes to slicks, transbrakes & big power etc it would take a toll on it imho...

Just my .02c worth...

Be good to see if they can get there wide slicks to hook up as good as my narrow slicks, stock rear end, still stock shocks, stock springs, (no airbags) stock 110000 klm old bushes.if I go to the 9inch, I am not expecting to leave faster because of it, it leaves perfect, max traction, better then I have seen a live axle leave, I don't know h

ow I could improve it except strengh.
