blueboost Member 1,204 Member For: 20y 5m 23d Gender: Male Location: Mackay NorthQueensland Posted 04/10/09 02:12 AM Share Posted 04/10/09 02:12 AM as the title say's, I ran my car at the sunstates nationals on the week end, I had put a big effort into this race, and I am on a bit of a low now, but just trying to get some positives into it, I tuned it up untill it was making 598rwks, and that is through a c4 auto and big stall, so there was plenty of power to be had, but first run I detuned it about 50kws to see how it runs and that for the first run, she left good.one positive was it 60fted well on the first run, she ran a 1.36 60ft,it only run a 9.5 at 144mph, but when I pulled the shoot, (for the first time) and it must have unloaded the front tires, and I flat spoted them (down to the canvas)and could not do any more runs for that night.got some other tires over night, and first run the next day, I dialed in the full power straight up and launched it, and she went about 10feet, and smashed the diff, she smashed the centre apart in about 20 peices, and that was the end of my second day. blueboost Member 1,204 Member For: 20y 5m 23d Gender: Male Location: Mackay NorthQueensland Posted 04/10/09 06:07 AM Author Share Posted 04/10/09 06:07 AM (edited) Hi guy's and thanks, yes still the t51r 1.05 turbine .73 comp.I removed the exhaust and about 100lb of the good stuff inside, it has done good, I am not disapointed in the diff, I did not expect to last at that level either, the track was to good for me, I have been running at test and tunes, and to go to a fully preped track, I should have known better then to not stage the power,I think I was startting to think it was indistructable, justlike I got with the stock motor, (you would think I would learn). to thinkthe stock tail shaft out lasted the rest of the car has got me stumped, about 15 nine sec passesand the diff only let go because I kept putting more power into it, and something has to give,I have pictures I will get of the tires on the launch of the 1.36 60ft, it is hard to beleave the twist and flatening of these tires at full launch, I will post them up when I get them.I am going to work for a few day's, andi will have a think about it all, I might go to the 9 inch, but I do beleave these can run a 8 with the stock diff, but I will have to be a bit smarter at it, not just throw power at it and hold on.it is a bit out of my budget, otherwise I would have already done it.If it held together it would have been a good time.
