After a little accident last night ( ran up the arse of someone at the lights ) iam know after a new front bumper there isnt much damage to be honest, the cars tow ball impacted on the left side of the panel and has basically pushed a tennis ball size hole through thankfully the light and nothing else behind the quard was damaged. Does anyone have an idea of a ruff cost for a new one? and where to get a genuine replacement, iam in adelaide and the car is bionic blue.

Thanks guys

Ouch. Ford charge obscene amounts of money for the bumpers and grille inserts. You'll be looking at big dollars for a new one by the time its painted and fitted 2 - 2.5k. Depending on how bad the damage is there are mobile outfits who can take it off and repair and paint it, "Touch Up Guys" etc, check the yellow pages.

yes, ford bumpers are ludicrously expensive. I hit a wallaby in my BA and the bar alone was $2,500 unpainted. total for repiars was $4,500 (including paint, headlight, and the 2 grills) defiantly worth your while to see if it can be repaired.post-32565-125463144055_thumb.jpg

I got my new genuine one from FTG Auto Salvage in Vic (they wreck Fords and Holdens mostly). Far cheaper than ordering from Ford. Maybe try them and factor in some freight to SA. Either way, it'll be much cheaper- I was quoted between 2.5-3k for a newie by the dealers. F*ck that.
