Hi again, who likes what. I have been wanting to put this topic up for a while, do you like the old utes or the new utes? Me I love the old utes, just the look and the sound of them just gets me all excited lol. But on the other hand the new ones do look good but I still love my old Expensive Daewoo utes. My favourte old ute would be the HQ One-Tonner ute with a 308 motor in it. :innocent:

The HQ-Z (& WB) utes are pretty good, look good and are pretty easy to work on. The HZ is the pick I reckon. They are a better design than the Ford equivalent I think.

I would prefer a BA XR8 (or XR6T) ute though!

I like the new utes for sure - but couldn't afford one so went out and bought an old ute, an 88 XF.

It will soon have my 4.1 turbo motor from the ZL transplanted into it along with the trusty ol' T5.

As it is a bit lighter than the Fairlane the performance will be even sharper, well, in a straight line anyway heheheh.

I like the old, the new, & all inbetween!

See my avatar (spelling?) for my old faithful:

1956 Ford Mainline Utility, complete with XC falcon 351C, C4 auto floor shift, 9" rear, 4 wheel disks, 2" lower, electric wipers & demist, 4 barrel 700 holly, extractors, dump pipes, blah, blah, blah.

A XY like in the new ute magazine still retains a classic shape. The xD with a 5.8 ,Toploader and nine inch is nice as well.If you could get these things to be economical driving the city I think you would see more of them.

Maybe a T motor put into a fake XYGT ute would be a good thing.
