Your working, with a drink in one hand and a set of *beep* in the other  Now dont get me wrong, but im sure that if you dont want to work a few fridays, there would be a couple of us here who would be more then willing to help you out .well done on the PB, that's a brilliant time

Did you use the water spray???What method did you end up using?? Thanks guys, you make a very valid point Jetute I'll stop complaining. I used the water spray on the first run, I didn't use it the second run and not sure on the other 2. Except for the first 2 runs there was lots of delays with cars dropping oil. This causes extra heat in both car and driver leading to slower car and stupid driver. The first run I was in performance mode and it self shifted. The car seemed to struggle the last few 100rpm in each gear. The 2nd run I was in manual mode. I shifted a touch late 1-2 and a lot early 2-3. I still ran a 12.52 which was good considering the mistakes. The next 2 runs I was experimenting with different options. I believe that the best solution would be to let the car shift 1-2 itself and for me to shift 2-3 at 5600-5700. This is what I was going to try on the next run when the rain came. On my 2 good runs I was launching at just over 2000rpm (2050ish) and had no sign of wheel spin. Next time I might try 2100ish, the track was very sticky.I wonder how much difference wider wheels might make. I know Brian and others have up to 275's compared to the 235's I'm running. Might it help?Geea.

Craig, whilst I'm not in your power level I've found a huge difference between the Dunlops & the Falken ZE512's. The dunny's don't get sticky at the track when heated, where as the Falken get real sticky. Which of course = harder launch. Wider the better as long as same quality. A lot of street tyres don't get that sticky when spun up.Scotty

Posted 09/11/04 11:01 AM Share Posted 09/11/04 11:01 AM I was hoping to have better tyres this week but it hasn't happened. This being the case I won't be going to Calder this Friday. I'm just putting this up to let the guys know who were going to come out. Dean, George, JB,Rob,Daniel and whoever else was going to come. I was going to be owing people favors so its not worth it if I'm still going to have traction issues. I have some tyres lined up but they wont be down from Queensland for a week or 2. Sorry if I have disappointed anyone.Geea.

Posted 09/11/04 11:23 AM Share Posted 09/11/04 11:23 AM I'd like to go but if I go I will want to run and then I'll get annoyed and frustrated running high 11's and low 12's with traction issues. I have a problem just watching. If it was a night off I'd definately go but it's not worth it when I have to bust nuts to get someone to open for me.Geea.
