What are they???

I am thinking of going to Maxxis Z1's in an 18... I had a 17 on my old XR8 and they gripped really well... BUT they are very noisy... I dont think I would put them on the front...

oh yer you run a 12.6 tuff car dude, I video'd you I think, haven't unpacked the car yet.

I might head back down on the 22nd and put the FG XR6T in, stock as a rock and on street tyres,

never been in the drags don't know much how it all works, that's why I came down to check out, some feedback would be great and things I would need?

thing I'm alittle concerned about is the burn out, obvious no point on street tyres cause you loose grip, and second mines a manual with the launch control with makes it hard to do a static burnout, is the burnout area hosed down?, if it is are you allowed drive around it?

and any decent motels close to calder, I stayed at the Keilor Motor Inn, was a freking dump! not going back there again!

edit: one last thing I know you car has to be rego'd sticker/plates but can you take your plates off before you go out on the track?

cheers.

Dan

Dunno about places to stay... Maybe the place near the airport? Ummmmm.... Formula 1... Pretty cheap, but ok I think???

You could drive around the wet patch... But you could light your tyres up a little bit, just to warm them... Dont rip a massive patch though...

What do you need? Nothing floating in the car... Long sleeve pants and top... Helmet that meets Australian safety standards... Juice in your car... Dont have less than 1/2 a tank, or you may run lean... 1/4 minimum...

Other than that... Go to www.calderpark.com.au and read the rules and regs...

Cheers,

Worm
