Anyone With A G6ET Owner's Manual Online?

For some reason I love reading owner's manuals. I have no idea why, I just do :)

I'm looking at buying a G6E Turbo when they come down a bit, maybe late this year, early next year. I'd love to find out all about how the gadgets work in the car, so it would be great if the owner's manual were online somewhere!

Has anyone seen it online? Anyone want to scan a few hundred pages just for me? :P

I wouldn't have thought members of Team Grandpa would know how to use a scanner anyway tab...!

I'm a bit of a sick individual too, I like to read the manuals. Prefer to actually be doing it WHEN I HAVE THE CAR though!

I read mine while I had a couple of hours to burn as the windows were getting tinted, literally took it straight from being picked up to get tinted.

Have a client that does tinting that looked after me :msm:

Haha, true, I probably shouldn't bother until I have the car, but for some reason, I like to work out how everything works before I have the item... I used to do it with walkmans and things too... very strange habit I agree :P

Anyway, a serious question that should probably go in another thread but I'll ask it anyway: I'll be getting one of these things second hand, and I want one with the optional 19" wheels. I also understand that they have the option to get a full size spare for $250 (?)... so if I buy one with the 19" but without a fullsize spare, is it likely that I could go to a Ford dealership and buy the fullsize spare for $250, or would they charge more or just refuse? Also, does it change the depth of the boot compared to the spacesaver spare?

Not too sure - although I believe (and someone will correct me if I'm wrong) it won't be a 19" full size spare, I think it's only a 17". I know that makes little to no sense, but I'm sure someone told me that.

If you go with the full size spare it will chop quite a bit out of your boot space. I was going to get it but then my old man of all people convinced me not to - "when was the last time you used your spare" he said. Good point. And if I ever did need to use it, I'd get it replaced pretty quickly anyway. So now I have a proper sized boot.

Pretty sure the $250 option is to match the rest of the wheels, whatever they may be.

If you walk in to a dealer afterwards you'll pay four times that price for a spare :pinch:

First time for everything. But I didn't option it so am not 100% sure as it may have changed with the new model, I went with the "more boot space option".

...if I ever get a flat tyre I'm calling a flatbed though - no way I'm driving around with that thing on there
