Guest XR09 Guests Posted 29/09/09 02:52 AM Share Posted 29/09/09 02:52 AM Laid down a grand deposit on some Tein coilovers and a few replacement bushes today. I really hope they are worth it. I paid $2450 for the coilovers... But the total is $3830.00 They are replacing the radius, rod and upper control arm bushes with super pro. I think another one as well, pretty sure it was a handful of bushes. Almost a shrubbery. This also includes it being set up exactly how I want it. Even if I want it reshimmed. I believe they are a 6 stack in the front and 5 in the rear. They want the car for two to three days ???$3830 ???Are they that good. ???? To do it in bilsteins or koni's would add another two to three large ???? God I hope they are woth it.Anyone upgrading thier FG F6 brakes and wants to get rid of thier four pots ???? pm me

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 30/09/09 10:23 AM Share Posted 30/09/09 10:23 AM I wish I had the budget to stretch to get the EDFC. But I know it's better off getting rid of the oem bushes and replacing them with something that will last while your in there anyway. My Fg is only 9 months old and they are not in good shape at all. And a stiffer suspension set up is going to add more pressure on them as well, so if they are not shagged now they will be soon.I am getting them from matt at ram auto in coolum so no help to you in vic

The difference after just doing the bushes was huge...Add the Teins and the step up is as big again. Money well spent and no question that on a car with moderate (60000kms +) mileage it transforms them and gives a whole lot more confidence to explore the limits. The real big difference I found was the ability to feel what the rear is doing....no more of that snap without warning. Don't put your mobile phone next to it. It will interfere with the EDFC and cause the EDFC to power off.Brian
