Thanks mate, I was leaning towards them until now. Im glad I posted here first. I suppose that's the difference with the $400 pair advertised. I was looking for a replacement bolt in alternative. I got no time to really play around and do it myself, plus theres no doubt id cake it and fail miserably lol.

Yet another of my halo light power inverters failed this week. Considering taking them back out and returning to stock. I'll miss them if I do, but not the death of inverters every 6 months.

It's harder driving around with a car that is missing half its face! I pop the bonnet and disconnect them when I notice...but have to actually notice. I go looking for reflections in windows and clean black cars.

Have considered wiring the power boxes up so each one powers one ring on each side, so if it goes I lose both big or little halos. Would look much better until I fix it up. Have a couple power boxes left from my bulk order so might give that a go instead. Plus I can plug in whichever rings look best without the other two.

Just went trawling for more inverter kits. Hard to go past this bargain of $8.50 a pair, delivered. Bought 2 sets.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2X-Spare-Inverter-Ballast-12V-4-outputs-for-BMW-CCFL-Angel-Eyes-Halo-Rings-Kit-/261111165743?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ccb70332f

The only reason I haven't done my rewiring trick above is because it states never shorten or lengthen the wires...reckon I might do it anyway. If it kills a CCFL they can come out. If it ignites, I have an extinguisher at the front of my seat hahaha.

Hi

If anyone is still looking for quality halos for FGII try http://www.automotivelightstore.com/2008-2013FordFalconORACLEHaloKit.aspx

They have brought out a new "plasma" halo kit which combines the benefits of LED (brighter and less fragile) with the older SMDs (smoother continuous ring). Not cheap though. Mine were about $250 delivered to Aust.

Cheers

Forgot to add....

In SA (don't know about other states) it is not legal to just wire these to come on with parking lights. If they are non-factory then they have to be off when any other light is on! To achieve this you'd have to wire them to an acc (always on) circuit and then fit a relay to your parking light supply to disconnect the halo when the parking light comes on.

This seems a crazy reg when lots of cars come stock with DRLs that stay on with other lights. I thought the kind policeman that told me this must be mistaken but TransportSA confirms this stupid rule. Whether anyone would actually get defected for this I don't know. The rings can only legally be white (while driving) as well. Oracle do some colour changing ones but not legal here, although I suppose you could set them to white when driving and colours when posing, if you're into that kind of thing.
