The more power you get, the more you want.

I have found my body has gotten used to my t. When I hop in my girlfriends getz, I put my foot down and lean forward to brace my body for the boost, but then I relize its a getz. :stirthepot:

My boost kicks in realllyy hard, so that makes it fun I guess:P

I totally agree. After picking up my BF typhoon Auto, I quickly realised it wasn't the quickest car around no more, actually I thought it was sluggish. But that was due to coming out of a pretty quick skyline. Sometimes it was to quick. I much prefer driving the phoon around, it is so smooth and relaxing to drive compared to a go cart like skyline. I cannot wait for a few more months to pass to get it up near the 300rwkw mark.

Not long at all in my case.

It ran like a diesel tractor when I got it, improved to roughly stock performance once all the usual fixes (plugs, throttle body clean, boost solenoid etc) were done and within a few days was seeming all too normal.

I picked up a new FG F6 just a few weeks ago and that already seems boring.

I think the truth is that these cars have to be accepted for what they are I.e. very big and very heavy.

Put them in their element however and the boredom ceases pretty quickly. Try a long trip where there is opportunity to actually use what it has to offer in a sensible environment and it is a whole new ball game.

Open road overtaking is pretty special, hills dont exist and getting back up to cruising speed from tight corners is nothing more than a grunt. One person or a car full....it's all the same to these things. Sure a pocket rocket might hang on to it in a traffic light war but in a real world long distance drive the Falcon makes easy work of it and does so in a manner that leaves you grinning in the knowledge that it didn't even have to try.

To be blunt I suspect that getting complacent could end in tears very easily for anyone used to a car that starts getting a little breathless much beyond 120....right about the time the Falcon is starting to wake up and get excited.

My first test drive of the T felt slow and boring, compared to the XR8 I drove anyway, so I guess you can say I was used to the power straight away, or dare I say the lack of it, based on what I thought it should be like. I base it down to what everyone is saying here, that the T does it far to easily in refinement without working up a sweat. Even though I wasn't impressed with the T, I still bought it based on everyone's advise on it's modding potential and how a simple tune opens it up.

And it was the best decision I made :spoton:

After an edit took it from 212rwkw to 269rwkw I was blown away. My first time giving it throttle it sidestepped coming onto boost. It should have been like this from the factory :spoton: Now 8 months after the edit I'm somewhat used to the power, but that rubber band/warp speed effect really became evident after the tune, and even after fitting 275's on the rear it still feels unpredictable at times as I never know if it's going to step out, and sometimes scares the sh*t out of me if it does it in a big way. :bye:

With that being said I'm after more power soon, hoping that it will side step more predictably :fool:

I took the car for a test drive told them I wanted it & before I had it in my hands I ordered a airbox, cat back & flash tune. That lasted 3mths then inj & tune, 2mths later came a cheap monza cooler, actuator, flapper mod, fuel pump & retune. 3mths later came the aps phase 3. 3 mths later surge tank & plenum. 3mths later we rang the balls out of it. Its been that way since about march or there abouts. All along the way with every upgrade I got bored after about a month. It didnt matter what the upgrade was I always felt like I could handle more. The next upgrade will be interesting though. lol. If that cant satisy me its got me stuffed what will.
