They gave me a letter in writing stating that my vehicle IS insured with the current mods (I sent them an e-mail with the list), but the replacement cost for the mods is not covered except the rims and intercooler, which I have covered at no extra cost... anything other than the cooler and rims damaged in an accident is lost to the heavens I can live with that. And without an engineers certificate it is not, so I am wondering what the insurance companies do when people make a claim from a major accident.I did the same thing with Shannons, I got them to approve all my mods and they kept saying that's fine as long as its legal we will cover you. If they have approved your mods then youre fine. I think what they mean is if you have (for example) a nos set-up and you didnt tell them about it. If speed was a factor then you would probably be denied (in fact you definitely would be). It looks like most insurance companies really are relaxing their restrictions when it comes to mods. I'm a bit worried about this issue for when I start major mods.Best bet, just try to drive sensibly, always be aware of what's happening around you, don't get distracted by mobile, stereo, GPS etc.And when the conditions are right (traffic, weather, road condition) give it HEAPS! That's what these cars are bought for after all
