I love the twin turbo idea, but just a quick question. even though it may be a stupid one. Would it be possible/viable to run a smaller turbo for down low and a larger for higher in the rev range. Not trying to take any shine away from this beast. Just curious of the possibility/benifit? With all the new veriable vain turbos, lower friction ball bearings and low inertia turbines I think the cost would out weight the advantages.Tuning would be the major issue scince there are not alot of factory cars that came with such setups and even fewer of those cars were modified in large numbers for tuners to have real experiance in doing so.Anything is possable with you got the cash, but I think in this instance even if it were more efficent it would cost more and as far as I can see the gains would be marginal. xr6twin Donating Members 47 Member For: 15y 1m 17d Gender: Male Location: Lithgow Posted 17/03/10 09:41 AM Author Share Posted 17/03/10 09:41 AM Hey guys,Here are some more pics of the build to keep you all interested!!!!From some of the pictures you can see the new alloy radiator overflow tank iv made to sit in next to the brake booster, this gives a lot more room to run the 3" intake pipe to the second turbo.Iv also relocated the battery to the passenger side of the engine bay where the old air box sat, and piped the shaker back into the new air box to give some of that cool air we all love!!Any one with questions, please ask, I love tellin people about my project.Enjoy.
