hey all. I love the twin turbo idea, but just a quick question. even though it may be a stupid one. Would it be possible/viable to run a smaller turbo for down low and a larger for higher in the rev range. Not trying to take any shine away from this beast. Just curious of the possibility/benifit? Dont know too much about twin turbo set ups.

Cheers

Im not sure of how efficent sequential turbo setups are any more now that the technology behind turbos is going through the roof. With all the new veriable vain turbos, lower friction ball bearings and low inertia turbines I think the cost would out weight the advantages.

Tuning would be the major issue scince there are not alot of factory cars that came with such setups and even fewer of those cars were modified in large numbers for tuners to have real experiance in doing so.

Anything is possable with you got the cash, but I think in this instance even if it were more efficent it would cost more and as far as I can see the gains would be marginal.

Hey guys,

Here are some more pics of the build to keep you all interested!!!!

From some of the pictures you can see the new alloy radiator overflow tank iv made to sit in next to the brake booster, this gives a lot more room to run the 3" intake pipe to the second turbo.

Iv also relocated the battery to the passenger side of the engine bay where the old air box sat, and piped the shaker back into the new air box to give some of that cool air we all love!!

Any one with questions, please ask, I love tellin people about my project.

Enjoy.

Was checking out the pic of the turbos close up and the outlet pipes, looks like the boosted air is going to collide in that pipe because they are flowing towards eachother. Maybe I'm wrong but a Y shape might work better than a T shape?

There is a curved plate in the center of the smaller pipe that will direct both flow paths into the larger outlet pipe, that is the only way I could direct the pipe work in the direction I wanted it.

Hey Guys,

Its finally finished!

All the pipe work has been completed and now its soon to be heading to the tuning shop to see what numbers we can get out of her!

Iv been for a small drive with it running low boost and adjusting the air fuel ratio wit an air fuel meter and it seems to crack like a whip!!

Cant Wait to see what it does with some computer adjustments and 10psi up its arse!!

Ill post up the dyno sheet as soon as the tune has been done!
