Posted 22/09/09 08:29 AM Share Posted 22/09/09 08:29 AM To remove the door trim there are 5 Torx screws(a normal philips wont cut it). First remove the silver/polished trim piece that surrounds the door handle. Wedge a small watchmakers screwdriver in behind the edge that is not visible when the door is closed and start popping it off from there. There are a couple of clips and a piece of plastic that locates the trim. This reveals 2 screws. The next is in the door cup located in the armrest. Theres a rubber flap at the bottom of the cup that folds up to reveal the screw, remove and the pull the cup right out. Then peel back the armrest fabric that was under the cup (glued a little) from the door chassis.Lastly are the 2 screws at the bottom of the door trim. Get on your knees for those 2. They are not hidden under anything. Now starting in the wing mirror corner start pulling the trim away from the door. Work your way around the trim, some clips are stubborn. The trim lifts out pretty much out after that, just remember to unclip the electric window plugs and on the drivers side the mirrors plug (that takes ages to do. Alot of swearing will follow. Its not got a clip in plug like the window, it just pulls out... eventually). Lastly remove the door cable from the handle.Drink some beer.Last thing to remember is that the standard speakers are built into the surround/mount. You will have to make your own mounts.
