I might trade in my BF Xr6 turbo in for one. Make room team grandpa, you might have a 20 year old coming into the team!Anyways back to the point, 2 sales people from the 2 ford dealerships I went to today said:The G6ET and the XR6T are the same mechanical wise, just different wheels, interior, body kit etc. Is this true? This question isn't only for G6ET owners but also for FG XR6T owners as well. Is there any known brake shudder issue? Brake shudder in the BF with standard brakes is a pain in the ass and if I'm going to buy a brand new G6E Turbo, I want to know that if later on I'm going to have to fork out some extra coin to stop the brake shudder. One salesman said there is no options for the G6E Turbo cars, they all come fully optioned. Is this true?I sat in one today and my God! Chunky steering wheel (I like very much so), big ass ICC screaming "LOOK AT ME, IM A ICC WITH A BIG F*CKING SCREEN!!! WOOO", seats are extremely comfortable and the standard speakers work really well! Awesome sound! Drivers seat has like a thing where you can program 3 seat/mirror positions... I've heard of the seat programming... But mirrors as well?! I almost told the guy to put one on order for me there and than! I'm going to do a bit more car shopping, been driving my mates 6L around, starting to love that V8 growling sound! Both sales people I spoke to said they could probably do me a decent discount if the company I work for has anything to do with Ford, first I have ever heard a car salesman say such a thing! Reason why I'm looking at the G6ET's more than the XR6T's is because they have that classier look but you also have all that power behind your foot whenever you need it!And one more! If anyone here ever went from a BF XR6 Turbo with the 6 speed auto, what were/are the major changes you notice? Like year its a different car, but like drive-a-bility wise, what do you miss from the old xr or whats betterer in the G6ET?

Some here have said they don't notice it though. Depends on driving style really I guess haha...

They are adequate for everyday driving. I don't think any one else on here has had major problems with brake shudder, at least not like the BF's had.Mate, they are one classy, powerful car and I have had a few very minor issues (blue tooth, small oil seep from timing cover etc) but nothing really major and all the tiny issues were fixed at my last service. I still love driving it every day and would venture to say it is one of the best cars I have ever owned (that's after owning 2 faultless Subaru Liberty's) and would say, MATE JUST DO IT!!!!! (you know you want it ) Edited 19/09/09 01:01 AM by SilverG6ET

We'll see how it goes.Has anyone else heard of that Ford discount thing if you help the ford company with anything like say, there whole computer network is from Dell and you work for Dell they give you like some awesome discount etc.Right now I'm either going to start modding my XR6T or just sell it and get a G6ET

Posted 19/09/09 02:15 AM Share Posted 19/09/09 02:15 AM (edited) Right on the safety pack.... has a "perimeter alarm" (whatever that is) and adjustable pedals with memory - in my case it was the first box ticked as my better half is vertically challenged. Have those in my current T, but the thought of simply hitting the memory button after she has been driving it has a certain appeal....
