Hi Guys,

I am about to order an FG XR6T lease car. Are there any tuning options that are completely hidden from Ford? Some way to switch between tunes or something? I have a set of 60lb injectors, so I was thinking I could switch back to the stock tune and change the injectors each time I drop into Ford for a service.

Does anyone else do this or know if it can be done?

Any help much appreciated!

Ford can see if you have diddled the ECU with a flash tuner.

If you want to risk your new car with mods, then expect the warranty on the driveline to be open to investigation and possible denial of any claims.

Ford are now taking pictures of mods on cars and keeping them for future reference.

Well if those mods were reversible, then how would Sony know.

This is my question is it possible to get a tune done that you can swap back to the original when it comes time for a service?

If the answers no then fine. But I dont think its a silly question.

There are a million threads on it (give or take maybe 1 or 2) - you can flash the tune back if you like but Ford can still tell that it's been flashed and will void the warranty.

Cant have your cake and eat it too these days.

Same decision we've all been making for years....my car is leased and I thought bugger it and modded it anyway. Risk vs reward.
