can anyone tell me some actual facts, rather than some bullsh*t dribble.

what are the differences between the fg f6 and the g6et? apart from the smaller turbs?

heads, cams the same?? I remember reading somewhere that the xr6t has different compression to the f6, is this true?

Cams, basically identical - much or a muchness

Head - same same

Compression on F6 is lower, but not by much though, maybe 0.5 or thereabouts. The pistons are what make the difference, slight dish in the F6 ones.

Tune is obviously different too

BA 4spd 308rwkw and FG zf 6spd 301rwkw , you couldn't fit a match head between them on a nice open country road , done this many times not just a one off run , Benny will back that statement :buttonit: .

equal power equal drivers both cars perform very similar , the BA/BF does have to try harder to keep the FG honest but that's the way it should be

In the end most of us mod these things anyway so why wouldn't you want the best package to start with and that is the FG

:roflmbo:

I have never seen BF F6 pull under the 13.0 mark, explain that

There has actually been an BF F6 to go into the 12's stock.

how many bf f6's have done that?

A few examples of B series F6 getting into the 12's stock here. Not done as often and doesn't seem to be as easily repeatable as the G6eT based on the amount of people getting into the 12's now with them: Australian Ford Forums - Quickest Stock F6

Agree with most sentiments here, stock for stock the G6eT will eat up a BF F6 off the line; the F6 *might* claw it back over distance but by then the 1/4 mile would be over. On the track, I would favour the F6 for its superior suspension and brake setup etc.

In saying that, I would gladly own either car (preferably at the same time :D )

Compression is 8.8 Vs 8.47 in the F6.

Intercooler and injectors are bigger too in F6.

Yes there are to many variables mate, some people think Ford have just grabbed the b-series 270 barra and whacked a smaller snail on it and dumped it in the FG but that isnt the case, the FG is quite unique (engine wise) to the b-series.

1.compression.

2.vertical throttle body.

3.crossover.

4.intercooler (plumbing).

5.turbo.

what else :beerchug:

6.uglier than the bf

:stupid:

I have a mate in Adel. with BF2 Phoon, off the mark and roll on my stock as G6ET was much quicker, not so through the corners or under brakes, but in a straight line they will chase down and out run any stock BF FPV. (until he tuned, exhaust and injectors)

I have also run a FG F6, off the line the G6ET gets the jump, but over 90 - 100kph the F6 come back with a vengance and chewed me up, and spat me out!

clearly he was not aware that the gran prix of lights was on.................

no contest
