WELL.......

AVO has let me know after 3 days or messing around they worked out what was wrong with my car. Apparently the ACTUATOR is standard. They tell me when they put the boost compressor on it it only blows 4psi. Now when I bought the car from ch0pper he claims he has a 12 psi actuator in his ad as you can see here: ch0pper's Sale.

Now I cant complain about him yet till I hear his side of the story so I am waiting on a PM.

But anyway, does the stock actuator blow 4psi and have a number '7' engraved or printed somewhere on the actuator? AVO tell me I need to change it and port the turbo. So they will be doing that today and should increase figures and also control boost better.

Can a 12 psi actuator crap itself maybe? How can I tell if its an aftermarket actuator?

well I told them it was already aftermarket. Obviosuly they go on what im told. And I go on what ch0pper advertised on his sale of his car. Why would they go through all the labour for no reason unless it gets to this point.

I know when I got my 15 psi actuator from GCG in Sydney there was no markings on it anywhere.

I tested it after it had been in the car for over a year and it started moving at 9 psi.

On the car with zero factors set into the boost controller, max boost is 14-15 psi.

as I said, it might be in there....ch0pper might tell me there is something done dont know. He himself might of been lied to by mechanic for all we know, so im not abusing him in any way. But might even be a dud actuator. meh who knows.....im sure he will pm me with some details. Brad sounds like a good bloke

I have seen a few now and the colour has been different from stock as said above..

Stock is a silver colour with a stick on it (see the pic above) and may look a little discolored, but is mostly silver where the aftermarket ones I have used/seen have been gold colored and have no markings or stickers at all.

A standard actuator will not normally make 17 psi in the top end as per the other reports on your car, normally we see standard ones fall over to between 8-10 psi at higher revs
