Hey how you going ? Apparently if you have a good tuner he is able to toggle thru your gear changes on your flash tuner or what unit you have , they can make it firmer therefore stronger but I think maybe someone with a bit more experience then me would know although C V told me they did mine and its so impressive. Feels like a quickshifter.

I'm sure the ZF has been cracked by now, just can't remember who was doing it.

The issue is, the ZF has it's own computer and makes it's decisions based on inputs from the engine's computer, where as the old BTR setup had a common computer controlling both the engine and transmission.

The edit can only change the parameters in the engine's ECU. but it can give the auto "bent" signals to make it perform the way you wish, the same way a Unichip or Xede controls the engine.

BUT, I have been told the Sniper tuning system can tune the ZF directly, but I'm not 100% on that...

We dont really need the zf to be tampered with do we really??? I spose the ability to up line pressures to help with slip & take .1 off down the track might be helpful but as far as getting them off the line Dave from cvp has worked around that & now we're seeing similar results in the 60ftr area as we would from a 4spd with a stall but we dont lose any of the driveability.

What can we gain from being able to toy with parameters in the zf? Will it help in longevity or will it kill them quicker?
