I believe the 9.3 done by the GTech car was done on an 11.5 tyre so makes Dave's efforts even more impressive on a 10.5 with IRS.

Or is the warmer months going to put it out of reach?

So I got onto my machine shop and they got onto their contacts and eventually found out that they are the right length for our heads. And you can buy them individually so you don't get any wasteage. Drill and tap block, drill head, new dowels and you have 14mm head studs for a little extra clampage I could probably chase down a part number if you want.
