Fg Console Removal

Hi all. Does anyone know how to remove the complete console in a FG.I need to remove the rear console vent trim and can see 2 screws facing upwards from the bottom of console into the botton of the rear console fascia.I need to lift the rear of the console up enough to undo these screws.More than likely I will need to remove the console to reach these screws.

Hi Spuddo , sorry, but I don't own an FG.

I am however curious as to why you would want to remove the console?

Surely if something is not functioning properly it would be a warranty issue

yeah I've done it..

there is two 10mm(?) bolts at about the seat belt mouth, along the sides of the console. there is also two 10mm(?) bolts at the front, to access them you need to remove the triangular panels in sides of the footwell, the clip off, I think I pulled mine out from the rear first... mine is manual, but I could just pull the centre (like arm rest area) upward to access the under area...and then the tissue box holder pulls outward directly.... cant remember if you need to do that to get it out... think you just gotta undo the two sides and the front ones..
