Hi just wondering what other peoples logbooks came in? Mine is a cheap nasty plastic jobbie, branded to the dealer... I just started to think about it as I was looking at my mothers mini cooper owners book which was in a nice leather one. I know in the statesman, calais, caprice etc Expensive Daewoo do a nice leather one as well. I've posted this here as G6E being fords top of the line they may have stepped it up?

:buttonit:

This is Ford you're talking about! Cheap plastic folder with a business card for everyone that's ever worked at the dealership jammed in it is standard issue.

Mine looks like "top of range" plastic holder. My prev e90 bmw's was a nice leather one too but I bought the G6ET mainly because it was a large family car with a jet engine! Good value overall.

The books for my G6ET came in a nice padded black fabric cover with the Ford logo on the front

That what the focus and fiesta come with, you obviously have a dealer that gives a hoot! :beerchug:

Really?

Well I guess at least the selling dealer gave me something then as they gave me SFA when the motor went bang, hence why my car will never go back to that dealer ever again for any service/warrenty work. The new dealer im using is pretty damn good though.....just got to get them to fix the damn trans issue!

I must have had a good dealer as well. As I have the same as Smackers.

Not the greatest but still better than getting the run of the mll plastic one when you lay down so much money. For the top of the range car.

It's strange that Ford are getting so cheap on their products, specially the flagship stuff.

My EL Ghia came with all its books in a nice leather folder also containing a little can of touch up paint. The manual was half decent and had stylish photos on it.

My Force 6 had that crappy little plastic folder with the dodgy books inside it. The owners extra books come in a nice leather folder, but you have to send away for that, it doesn't come with the car.

Obviously prestige doesn't mean much anymore in Ford speak.

My GT-E came with the normal FPV black vinyal holder, that is not up to the standard I would expect for a $80k+ car.

Also FPV have become cheaparses over the gifts. We used to get a choice of bags or a watch, now we get a book and no key ring.

I wrote back on my order form that they were cheap bastards and they should not cut back on the gifts as we do remember that they have become cheap arses.

I never got a call or any survey on my satisfaction overall. Love the car, but Ford/PFV should change their attitudes on where money can be saved.
