you could be losing control over one of the camshafts which would limit the rpm capability of the engine, be careful as at full retard the inlet valves will touch the piston.

It could also be valve springs which will have the same effect, those springs are renound for being sh*t so I suggest you get rid of them asap.

still no phone call....

took some advice from angry trav,

"Check the cam sensor wires they run behind the motor from where the factory bov is around to the drivers side to the cam sensor right on the end of the head by the heater hoses near the fire wall. I had the same issues with mine wouldnt make any power above 300 and I replaced plugs coils etc. ended up being the wires had melted apparently its pretty common anyway hope this helps"

that wasnt the issue...so they still looking... bah why my BA! *me stabs ch0pper* lol....better not of sold me a lemon!

Might not be a problem car but from my experience if it's cheaper then everything else there is something wrong with it and it more likely then not needs some $$$ to fix the problems. I got burnt once, now if I'm looking for a car generally don't even look at the cheapest ones on the list or am VERY careful them.

Your problem doesn't sound serious but just one of those things that are fairly minor but a bitch to find.
