With the amount of power and the times some straight sixes in supras are being achieved, surely its only a matter of time before the falcon 6's get there too.

Like everything it has to be done first with proof before I comment or belive it. With the technolegy and parts we have now anything is possible it just boils down to $$$ and if they do achieve it- good on them!!!!!

It's probably a publicity stunt, some idiots will see they have a most powerful xr6t and will flock to them to tune their car.

A mate of mine went to a tuner (mentioned in one of the earlier posts) because they had the most powerful or quickest supra in Oz and sure enough they blew the turbos on hes R34 GTR, told him the thing can run 20psi with stock turbos.

Most of us here agree that just because someone can build a quick drag car doesn't mean they can tune a good safe street car.

Mate you are absolutely spot on. That's what piss me off on most forums you get all these little puppets who wouldn’t know how to change a tyre going on about how their workshop is the best because they have some behemoth drag car that runs bla bla. What they don't realise is these are the workshops that detonate (blow up) most street cars engines and blame it on the fuel and everything else under the sun to get out of fixing what they fu@#ed up in the first place.

Ask yourself this when some mug with more dodgy $ than brains goes in there spending a gazillion on a drag car (to race it once, sh*t his pants and then sell it at a bargain price) with shops that constantly take on and love these "waste of money spends", do you think they give a sh*t about a tune or a couple of bolt-on cars or even a regular service? No fu@#$n chance!

I've seen it with my own eyes some of the biggest names in the Sydney drag scene treat your average day street cars with contempt, bad installs, bad customer service and just make you wonder how the flying f@#ck they got a good reputation in the first place. I wish I could name names and 100% accurate examples I have seen with my own eyes of so called "top workshops", but I can't for legal reasons.

What I will say though is this; in my opinion (and I stress my opinion) any workshops with big fancy drag cars all over the place I'd steer well away from with my street car that's for sure! Unless offcourse you're a bodgey, messy bogan who doesn’t care what condition his ride is in and wouldn’t know the difference between eating a booga or dinning at Tsetuya’s.

Somewhat disagree. Customer should always get what they want.

If they want their car tuned for a certain application that's what they should get.

Part of the problem is some owners say take it to the limit so I can bat off on my laminated dyno sheet.

My car is tuned how "I" want it tuned.

Agree some shops are professional racers. Some have also tuned literally hundreds of Ts

and have done so since the beginning. Refer Motors "Hot Tuner" edition summer 2004/5

And FYI I have dined at Tetsuya's on a number of occasions. Quite a pleasant experience.

Shame the hooker cost so muchomg1.gif
