Is Standard Dump Pipe And Cat Ok?

hi guys,I have a ba xr6turbo auto with a twin 2.5 inch cat back x force exhaust,otherwise stock... looking at carrying out tune as I have a capa but unsure if I should change dump pipe and cat from standard?

I intend on keeping cooler stock for now ,everyone has different ideas, appreciate to hear yrs..

I'm getting 304rwkw's with Standard Exhaust & Cat, but I did remove the centre muffler & replaced it with straight through pipes...looking at getting the Nizpro 4" System soon.

Cat is your issue. The 3" section to the cat is fine for most people, I was running 360rwkw's with a BF dump, 5" bodied cat and then changed to an xforce 4" - 3.5" and didn't actually make anymore power! Get a big cat and have a Y section made to suit the xforce and it will flow & go well.

cheers guys, I have been told 200 cell on cat is what I should be chassing. I think ill leave the standard dump pipe... xforce would be the best to follow up on to match rear?

I also got injectors but unsure if they are worth chucking in.. I been told you then need a bigger fuel pump etc, then I been told u dont.. :buttrock:

What injectors do you have?

Standard injectors are only good for about 250-260rwkw max. Standard fuel pump is good for high 200's. So if you put a set of 42lb injectors in you can go maybe about 280rwkw.

High flow cat, xforce cat back, 42lb injectors, F6 or monza intercooler and you should get ~280-290rwkw with a custom tune.

'
