I have purchased a Typhoon kit for my BA. I need the colour code of the dark charcoal colour that the inserts on the bars are painted with? Anyone have a clue? Cheers.

Hi there, I asked the same question not long ago mate, My panel beater did an eye-match to it and turned out pretty well as I wasn't able to get the colour code... But some members here reckon that there is a colour code for it (I know there is also but was struggling to get answers for it at the time). see if those numbers mean anything to you/your panel beater and should be usefull...

Here is the link --->

Hey OZ,

Thanks for the heads up mate but I don't even have a colour to eye match. I wonder if your beater has the colour formula he used?

Hi guys,

The colour code for Dark Argent is (BAH) This code is used internally at FPV/Ford only. The paint is supplied to FPV by PPG and is a Cobra Mix paint. If you quote that code to PPG they will tell you that their internal code for that colour is atually (2FRFB) I dont know why they have their own code but I can tell you that it is a perfect match. I had my wheels painted in this colour and tested it against a mates BF F6 and it was spot on.

It took me about a week or 2 to chase down the code when I was looking. Even my spray painter had trouble. In the end I contacted FPV direct and they were able to help me out.

Hope this helps.

Brett.
