I've got a similler set in mine, brought them of a member here.

mine is only lo-beam and its a 5000k kit, the 8000k is quite a bit bluer, 5k is about as close to pure white you can get.

but driving with them is awesome you can really tell the difference and makes the car look better too. you might have to adjust your beam height cause you can blind people pretty good.

all in all a good mod. highly reccomended. also a good price

I ran a set similar to these for 2 years in my BF.

Do not buy that set as 8000k is VERY blue. Keep it under 5000k for a white or 2700k for halogen (slight yellow)

You also have to wind down the lights as they glare up a bit on the stcok height.

I recently added HiD 10000k kit to my Xr6 T bf mk2 model and yeh got to admit you get alot of onlookers becsue they are that bright....but also help with night rides as well......10000k was meant to have a bluish colour to them but mine are as white! anything over 6000k is considered "illegal" but hey not many people notice...I hope!

(hope this works) attached is my car with the 10000k Hid kit attached as you can see not that yellowish colour that comes stock butextremely bright white

Certainly not 10,000k.

More like 4300k-5000k.

IMO anything over 6000k is not really ideal for road use. The Lumen rating drops as you go up in Kelvin.

With the 8000k and above the light penetration gets very poor in bad weather conditions. So I would be happy with the colour of the HIDs you have. Even if they are not what you originally wanted.

However if you still want to try 10,000k for a comparison just shoot me a PM.

do the 5000k kits run hotter? I.e. burn dust and crap into the plastic causing that dull yellow effect you see on some import headlights.(or is something else causing that?)
