Smack on 100kmph there is a whistling noise it seems to come from the small side windows, not at 95 not at 105 only 100. The only reason it annoys me so much is because it's most noticable at a speed I frequently sit on, if it was at 120 or 90 I would care less.

Asked my dealer about it on the 3000km service and they said it's normal. Has anyone else noticed this? If so have you had it fixed and how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. <_<

Can't say I've ever heard it before, al

But I'll listen out for it specifically next run in the country. That's if I can sit on 100 for long.

yep ... I know the whistle all to well .... for me it was/is in that piece of "plastic" immediately behind the door....

it sometimes sits snug to the car ... no noise ..... with a abit of sun it sometimes pops up and acts as a scoop .... whistle-mania ...

my driver side does it badly .....down with the door window (at speed) and bang relentlessly with right hand till the hand hurts or the whistle stops .... or till the electric window motor burns out ... as you check if the whistle has stopped .....

that bit of plastic has been bugging the AU guys too

or turn up the CD :)

I noticed that same noise when sitting at just above 100. I was going to see the dealer about it to find out if it was the diff. after reading this I will just wait till the 3000km inspection.

I had this on my AU... Ending up pulling the placky bits off ( they only clip in) & putting a bead of silastic on them, then pushing back on. The Pursuit doesn't whistle as yet , even though identicle mouldings as the AU.

THAT could also be the growl of the Zorst drowning out all else?

I hadn't considered that it might be the diff and maybe the window is where the sound is entering the cabin. Hmm, might have to investigate further.

Have had a couple come through with wind whistle at that speed due to insufficient sealer around the WINDSCREEN.

Wont cause it to leak, just makes a heck of a noise at 100kph.

Reseal the baby & its ALL GOOD !!!! <_<

Cam, it's the side window area ..... the plastic snap-on bit over the fixed glazing ... I'll show you next time I'm at KnoxFord (later today  )
