mate what can I say...... all you can do is get a quote on the parts from an other dealer and compare...Ask them how long each repair will take ...as they have a manual which gives them a time allowance for each repair and times that by there hourly rate........

Mate I'm blown away....lost for words...

Sorry man but should of done some homework before giving them the green light to repair..Is the car under your name or your parents name...

Chat to the manager when you go in. If they didnt mention the cost to repair over the phone, you might be able to come to some agreement. Also, question why it costs $22 for tB cleaner, why you needed 8L of trans fluid when a service refill is only 4.7L, why you were not informed of these costs prior to the work being done etc. All the other costs seem about right for a Ford Service...

The cars all mine (lucky me).

The irony is I only took it to Ford to try to get the recurring engine light problem fixed as I figured they had the best diagnostic equipment. Of course, this is the only thing they haven't been able to fix.

So the total capacity of the trans should only be 4.7L? If so I'll def be disputing this one.

Also, just spoke to Ultratune:

To get new rear discs and pads (genuine discs and Bendix pads, fitted): $480

Full trans service (inc labour and fluid): $185

Take copy of the receipt, ask for the service manager and then staple it to his forehead, take your car keys and drive home.

Ford Service depart at their best. That is what you get for taking it to Ford. You pay full retail for Ford genuine parts and also $90+/hr for labor.

If they did a full dry fill of your trans it would be 9L. I bet they did a dry-refill but didnt drain it all out, thus meaning you have 1L of old oil mixed with the new.

Honestly there is nothing you can do unless they didnt tell you costs before you agreed to repairs.
