I have been looking at alpine gear. I had a huge stero in my old with 2 12 subs. it was way to big . I just need something that wont use up much space behind the seats. dont no if a sub would be any good or just run rears speakers with just bass. just want quilty sound

If I was you I would go with a single 12 or 10 inch, possibly a slimline if space is that much of an issue. (pioneer make a decent slimline). What sort of budget do you have? Already have any gear? What else do you want? Stock headunit?

I got a 10" Hertz sub with a custom box made that just sits behind the passenger seat in my ute. I wasn't after the doof doof sound and it just suits me fine.

I'd just go the normal 10in sub with standard roll surround on it (nothing with to much exersion), alot quicker response times than 12in and it will be small enough with enough bass for the ute easily.

I found with the sub behind the seats bass is very localised though, but what do you do if you need the space or want it hidden! I had it in between the seats and sounded really good but looked dicky...

Nice little 10" with a reasonable excursion and frequency would do the job.

JL 10W series.

Depends on the budget you have, what amp ull be running, blah blah blah...

We need a little more info mate...

No budget what ever it cost. Looking at alpine PDX-4.150 which is a 4 channel amp $999, apline type x SPX-17PRO 6.5 components $999 . Now just looking at what sub . I like having some room behind the seats when we travel so I dont have to pull over and get stuff out the back off the ute

Fusion have a brand new product out perfect for utes. I actually deal in the marine side of the fusion gear but get updates on there car audio for my own benefit I can look into it tomorrow for you if you like. I dont have much of there car stuff but the marine gear is the best around at the moment so would expect the same in the other division.
