well if you've read my topic about my clutch u'd know already

today I was goin to get my clutch looked at cause it was slipping but on the way it didnt slip so I got up it a bit (cut a donut) and my oil light came on and the engine made a rattle=, was right up the front sounded like the timming/cam chain rattling, had to get it towed to the mech's

has anyone had a simular problem or have any idea wat this could be, any help would be great thanks.

dare say that your car has started pinging and you have done some pretty serious damage.

hope it all goes well for you dude!!

I still wouldnt have been doing circle work even though your clutch gripped up once while it was slipping

engine detonation would be the rattling you heard right before you lost oil pressure..

or you were bouncing off rev limiter while doing your circles... which isnt terribly good for your std oil pump gears.

pm me with the workshop that told you to thrash it if you thought it was slipping

Bogan could be 100% correct if the rattle started before the oil light came on, if the light came on and then it rattled it could be the gears.

If it is the gears, there's a strong change you may have done damage to the engine which may require a rebuild actually either way could result in a rebuild

I wasnt bouncing off the limiter I was feathering it only done 1 loop

and im not 100% sure if the light came befor the rattle but I think it did, it was pretty simultanious

the engine seems to be running fine besides the rattle, I pulled strait over and got it towed

I had a simular problem about a year ago when it still had warrenty, FPV replaced the engine but it had a knock not a rattle, they put it down to unexplanned oil pressure fualt

Have to agree with the above. Moral to the story only let experts ( tuners with a rep) not farking mechanics work on your modified car.

Fingers crossed for you but this could be expensive. Do not let the clutch bloke or mechanic anywhere near it IMO

Sounds obvious I know but has the car been retuned after the Zorst and dump mods ?
