I know with most other things you do.usually the run in determines the overall performance and life of the engine.is it the case with these. this is my first brand new car so I haven't had to had to do it before.thanks

Work it a bit on hills, vary the speed/rpm. Cars that are run in harder produce bigger power. This is only what I've read here and on the forums. Check out the link and see what you think! Posted 30/08/09 03:46 AM Share Posted 30/08/09 03:46 AM Drive it normally. The worst thing you could do is labour the motor, in other words dont use a too high of a gear.In an auto this is taken care of but if you have a manual use a lower gear if you are going slow. And also dont let it idle for extended times like in your drive way.Ian

From there on it has been driven as I would normally.Once it has had its first service I'll introduce it to the circuit just to see what it is capable of in terms of lap times. Should be interesting to see just where its at....seat of the pants says it is rapid but that doesnt necessarily equate to a quick lap time. Drive it normally from the day you pick it up.
