Hi guys - can anybody tell me about the differences between the turbo setup of the FG F6 and FG XR6? what types are used? and how these differ from previous models eg BF?

Sort of.

The FG XR turbo is identical to the F6 except the compressor is smaller.

Same exhaust housing. Same core.

As tab said, FG F6 is the smae as the outgoing BA/BF models.

Hey phantomxr6. With what you said about the fg xr6t turbo. What exactly would be needed to do to make my fg xr6t turbo the same as the fg f6 turbo? how much or is it better to just upgrade to something better. My goal for my fg xr is 350 plus rwkw.

Best bet would be to talk to Kice.

He went with an upgraded compressor wheel, if I recall correctly.

Plus a number of other supporting mods, and made 370+rwkW.

He has a thread in the 300rwkW club with all his mods listed.

cost is about 1800 for compressor upgrade, machine of housing, actuator and flapper mod, not including labour to remove and return turbo back on the car.
