my car was going good after running 10 psi edit ,as somepeople know it all of a sudden lost boost

now my car is at a workshop and they found a split vaccum line near the turbo,it was repaired and dynoed

I then get a call saying the car made well over 300 rwkw on the dyno spiking at 20 psi then dropping to 16psi but it obviously was leaning out.

could this mean that it was tuned with a problem with the vaccum line to 10 psi and now repaired its boosting its ass off??........ps im in no way blaming the tuner for this btw.

Nothing here makes any sense. A split vacuum boost line to the wastegate will cause OVERBOOST and when fixed it will return to normal boost pressure. A split boost line cannot cause the complete loss of boost that you were describing, nor can it increase boost pressure when fixed. Either you have your wires crossed or you are being fed a load of crap.

If the cat has been guttered then the absolute lowest boost pressure will be 13psi with no other mods done, even if your tuner tries to lower the boost with a flash it simply wont work.

The lose of boost sound like when the hose joining the turbo to the under battery pipe comes off.

Maybe he meant just a split hose?? A split hot side pipe or the air box to turbo pipe, would cause you to loose boost pressure and if it was tuned that way then fixing the problem would result in obviously more boost than wanted.. Same thing happend to me, my car was tuned with a pipe not secured enough and as the days went on it finally popped off. I reconnected the pipe and it was boosting to about 21psi.. Got a re-tune asap back to around 14psi...

In my case I didnt blame the tuner cause these things happen, at the time everything seemed fine, so... sh*t happens IMO

na the guy said it was a split hose on the factory boost controller I cant see how it now spikes at 20 psi and drops to 15psi im not driving it on that tune its going back to factory tune untill I go back to my regular tuner and get a retune..........get this apparently it made 360+ at the wheels I think his dyno is out to say the least I dunno now im even more confused

13.8 is rich that's ok 14.7 is where you want it to be anything above that is lean. 14.7 = how many parts air to 1 = unit of fuel
