Expensive Daewoo will have to do something very special with both the V6 and V8 to score points.... It was Media hype that killed the AU... it was a great car to drive, and it had the power on tap, not a problemAlso, as I have said before, the XR6T eats SS's for breakfast!.... so who's up for a buffet breakfast...  Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/611-xr8-or-hsv/page/2/#findComment-6169 Share on other sites
Guest hany Guests Posted 14/01/03 11:38 PM Share Posted 14/01/03 11:38 PM Quote Hmmm. This isn't really a balanced comparison as you should be comparing the XR8 with the SS & HSV with FPV you cant cant compare the SS with the XR8. The XR'S to fast!!!!!!and the FPV should be compared with the MONARO really  Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/611-xr8-or-hsv/page/2/#findComment-6181 Share on other sites

Six months down the track, given time & plenty of k's under it's belt, then we can decide just how well the BOSS stacks up against the HSV motas. It's a time thing.MavSS Granted - the Boss has not been long on the road, but my point is that the LS1 has not "proven itself" either, even after being on the road for several years now (in the Commode). The reliability problems were there from day one, and some are still around, so I can't see how it can be considered "tried and tested" when it is still far from fault-free. :o I can't see the Boss being any worse upon release, than the LS1 was or is now. :blank: But anyway Mav old chum, get thee to a dealer and get thine rear into a test drive! Guest HOTXR6 Guests Posted 15/01/03 08:57 AM Share Posted 15/01/03 08:57 AM Hany,Can tell you I was a Expensive Daewoo and Toyota Freak until the BA arrived. I used to say, I would never own a Ford, Never! But when the BA came and I had a little peak, well I was so surprised. As I replace my car every three years I look at the vehicles regularly and late last year when it was time to change I looked at the Camry Sportivo, Late model camira S & SS, Mitsubishi Magna VRX and Verada and BA XT, XR6 and XR6 Turbo. The others impressed me so much, I purchased the XR6Turbo!It was that fact that the BA XR6 Turbo is so far advanced in nearly every area, expect build quality compared to Camry you would be a fool not to buy it. So I did and now I have the luxury of waiting until March 03 after signing early December 2002 but it is worth it.HOTXR6 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/611-xr8-or-hsv/page/2/#findComment-6248 Share on other sites
