Urgent Opinions Needed

Hey guys I have a 2004 BA xr6t 4 spd auto. I had it in first gear and accelerated until approximately 6000 rpm and then there was a big bang noise so I changed it into second. I did not blow the turbo or engine, it was almost as if the ECU cut out for some reason. Could you guys please give your opinions as I do not know much about cars. Cheers Guys

I did that in the early days. It flies up to 6 pretty fast in first! Careful there :)

Maybe oil pump gears, as they seem to be the weakest part when torque/power cutting comes into it, but don't stress, if nothing's blown up now it won't because of this. Or your head hitting the windscreen/teeth hitting the steering wheel!

Just don't do it again!!
