Did anyone have a trans temp gauge to compare before and after...?

I have the h/d pwr cooler in my 26/30 powered R33 skyline with a C4 auto and am worried that the cooler wont be enough.

I have a temp gauge but car isnt running to test before and after.

Did this mod recently..I found that the stock inter cooler sat snug against the trans cooler.it was causing the bottom hose of the trans cooler to be hard up between the ic and condenser..I was concerned with it wearing due to rubbing, so I removed the rubber mounts from the ic and made my own moved the ic forward abit, nice 1.5 cm gap between the trans cooler and ic...

Hey guys. Have just fitted the pwr cooler as had the oem in the radiator crack. I have since dropped the pan and flushed the old trans fluid. Just wondering if you guys have done a flush before and if so how do you road test the trans before driving it like normal.

Tks

Can someone please tell me the size of the fitting required to go from the radiator (female BSP) to barb end (to push into the hose)

therefore requiring a male bsp nipple with hose barb end- but what size guys?

Cheers!!

I will be fitting an oil cooler to my ZF trans replacing the heat exchanger in my BF and I have an HDi intercooler. Have bought a Setrab cooler std 619 http://alertmotorsport.com/Product/Oil+Coolers+600+Series/4134 which will sit above the intercooler quite nicely by the look of it. I think it would be as good as the one at the start of this thread because it's 50m/m thick and a similar width although it's a little shorter. I'm assuming the three dimensions multiplied together will give a fair idea of their cooling ability.

Does anyone know if the LM2 can log auto temps?

I will post some pics when I've finished the install.

Have nearly finished the prep work for fitting the air/oil cooler tomorrow night.

This is the joiner unit I made to replace the heat exchanger, retaining the trans pipe fittings so the hoses don't need changing. If I sell the car it will be easy to return to stock (not like the rest of it :P )

Finished the installation tonight and have booked in for a trans service Saturday morning. It's a relief getting the heat exchanger out especially since one of the pipes was bent when the previous motor chopped the sump in half.

Install went fairly smooth except for getting covered in coolant working under the hoist. Looks much neater from underneath and there is a lot more room.
