What size cooler is that Jet ?, or part #  - looks like a kit that includes the brackets?

I have made a start on getting the parts together for a oil to air cooler, just wondering what people do with the water side of the original set up?

I'd like to remove the plastic valve assembly and just run a hose from the thermostat housing feeder pipe into the block ( effectively deleting all the heat exchanger crap) , but wondering what fitting is in the block, is it a barb which would allow me to just use a piece of suitable hose (1/2") ?

I used a 5/8 male/male hose connector and just joined the 2 pipes from the exchanger.

I don't like it but it works. I want to do the same as you and after sussing it out a bit of hose bent in the right way would work to delete that plastic valves thing. It's just a c u next Tuesday to get them hoses off.

You might even be able to recycle the hose from the exchanger.

Cheers Rob, yes I had thought of just leaving it there and connecting the old hoses together- still may if I cant figure a better option.

I seem to recall the valve leaks as it ages so keen to avoid any extra problems.

It isn't a off the shelf kit, it's a set up we've developed over the years with custom brackets fixings and fittings
